He was predeceased by: his father William. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Allan; his child Cooper; his mother Barbara; his siblings, Bruce and Elizabeth (Michael); and his nephews, Zachary and Nicholas.

“My heart aches for the loss of my beloved cousin Norman. A childhood of wondrous memories at our farm in Colgan, Ontario. Summers spent together exploring, swimming, foresting, drinking Kool-aid, and mostly, just playing. Norman always led the troops - every day was a new adventure. He carried on this tradition with Cooper whether a birthday party scavenger hunt, sharing his love of films at the TFF, or jumping on a plane with Barb in tow to explore his fascination with travel.
