With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ogimaa Bineshiikwe (Toronto, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robina "Bobbi" and Michael; his siblings, Yasmina-Hilary, Alexa-Frances and Ian; his niece Nicole; his nephews, Cree, Devon and Joshua; his uncle Philip; his aunt Sally; his in-laws, April, Jason, Brian, Melanie and Phil; his wife Leea; and his family Ushuaia.
To honour Pat's memory and in lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the 'Pat Shaw Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund' for Students on Ice, an organization that funds opportunities for youth from around the world to explore the polar regions.
