She was predeceased by: her husband Iwan Zaplitney; her parents, Anton and Katarina; and her siblings, Maria and Stephan.
She is survived by: her children, Roman Zaplitney (Lorraine), Christine Chachula (Jaroslaw), Martha Nazar (late Mark), Tiffany (Aaron), Andrew (Satchel), Ivanka (Mark), Mykola, Matej (Natalie) and Olenka. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel (2058 Kipling Ave, Toronto, ON M9W4J9). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church (3625 Cawthra Rd, Mississauga, ON L5A2Y4).
