With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Thérèse Matthews (Toronto, Ontario), born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on May 8, 2026 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia Thérèse Matthews to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mahoney and Anne Mahoney; and her siblings, Joan Conway, Eileen Molloy, Gloria McNamara and James Mahoney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol (Michael) and Anne (Sean); and her grandchildren, Julia, Nora, Callum and Claire.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S1P4). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish (3055 Bloor St W of, Toronto, ON M8X1C6).
