Penny McCarney Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Penny McCarney of Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Penny McCarney to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nora Mitanis (Matthews) and John Mitanis; her in-laws, Mary-Kate and Ted McCarney; and her brothers-in-law, Dr. Warren Hoffman and William Murphy.

She is survived by: her sister Carole (Roy Dotto); her spouse Finley McCarney; her daughters, Carolynn McCarney-Perkins (Mick), Lisa McCarney (John Warus), Patti Grange (Jeffrey) and Susan Marcus (Jon); her grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Harrison, Aidan Grange, Benjamin, Adeleine, Grace Perkins, Lauren, Finley Marcus, Ryan and Alyssa Warus; her great grandchild Lucas; and her sister-in-law Lynne Murphy.

A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Visite Turner & Porter - Neweduk - Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga, ON L5K1R2). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish (2473 Thorn Lodge Dr, Mississauga, ON L5K1K8).
