He was predeceased by: his wife Jean (Dance); his grandson Matthew Armstrong; his mother Margaret Blue; and his siblings, William, Kenneth, Joyce and Margaret.

He is survived by: his children, Susan, Dave (Kelly Carmichael), Don (Laurie Bowers), Nancy (John Armstrong) and Heather (Dan Bradshaw); his grandchildren, Connor (Kayla), Bailey (Cedar), Matt, Hudson (Sabrina), Quinton (Danielle), Jessie (Alex), Rachel (Chris), Emerson (Teesha) and Joelle (Noah); and his father Walter Blue.
