He was predeceased by: his mother Adah MacDonald (McConnell); and his grandmothers, Charlotte McConnell (Reid) and Catherine MacDonald. He is survived by: his wife Ruth MacDonald; his daughters, Alison (James), Elizabeth and Jane (Ken); his grandchildren, Charlotte, James, Beamish, Alban and Callum; and his siblings, Nancy, Peter (Cathy), Max and John. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
