don stevenson wrote a sympathy message

“Ted was my French professor in his first year of teaching at Vic. He was a friend to all his students and his enthusiasm for the French language inspired us. We shared a friendship with immigrants from Yugoslavia. I married one. In 1969 I persuaded Ted to take a leave of absence from teaching to become the first head of the Ontario- Quebec educational exchange program. Over the next two years he inspired and organized a massive number of successful student, teacher and university exchanges .”
