He is survived by: his wife Monica Gutschi; his children, Sofia of Toronto, Alicia Escobar of Toronto, Ofelia Escobar Lezama (Sergio Olvera Flores) and Ricardo Escobar Lezama (Angelica Mijangos); his mother Bertha Mercedes Fernandez Perez; his siblings, Laura, Sylvia (Ramon Orozco) and Roberto (Georgina Puig-Amarillas); and his grandchildren, Hector Alejandro of Mexico and Camila Isabel of Mexico.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Canadian Mental Health Association or any group that supports the Grey Wolf, such as the International Wolf Centre.
