He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peter Gillis and Annie Francis; his wife Susan Louise; and his brothers, Raymond, Donald, Roy, Lloyd and Vincent Gillis.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Peter "Scott" (Chelle) and Ann-Louise Virtue; his grandchildren, Amber, Aidan, Lochlan and Luna; his sisters, Patricia Briand and Loretta Bradley (Aubrey); his mother-in-law Louise Anderson; and his siblings-in-law, Pamela Anderson and Stephen Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
