Renate left this world on April 10, 2026 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hermann Sick and Martha Sick; her husband Guenter Friedrich Scholz; and her sisters, Elfriede and Baerbel (Barbara).

She is survived by: her son Brian; and her grandchildren, Adrian and Claire.
