He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Borecky and Helen Borecky; and his father-in-law Bill. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his daughter Katherine; his son-in-law Robert; his granddaughter Evelyn; his mother-in-law Olga Hudson; his brothers, Myron (Toni) and Gene (Tuula); his siblings-in-law, Brian (Aldonna) and Donna (late Eddie); and his neighbours, Mirko (Lela) and Dennis (late Helen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Richard will be laid to rest at Mount Peace Cemetery, 3204 Cawthra Rd, Mississauga, following the service at 11 a.m. Richard requested no flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation (https://kidney.akaraisin.com) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
