He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Elaine; his sister Marilyn; his brothers-in-law, Jim Munslow, Robert (Bob) and Walter Jr. (Sonny); and his cousin David Juffs.

He is survived by: his wife Pat; his son Scott; and his siblings, Ron and Linda Hamilton. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in the name of Richard to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would greatly be appreciated.
