He was predeceased by: his grandmother Gillian Schell; and his parents, Joan Schell and Douglas Schell. He is survived by: his close friend Carolle Gagnon; his daughter Katie Schell Arrowsmith; his child-in-law Jamie Arrowsmith; his grandchildren, Lizzie and Douglas; his brother Robert "Bob" Schell (Kathy); his nephew Jeremy (Cherie) of Vancouver; Nicolas Marier (Melinda). He is also survived by his family, his friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the R. J. Barnard Chapel (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1).
