She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Giovanni; her daughters, Jessica (William) and Rebecca; her siblings, Raffaela (Sam), Lina (Cal), Jim, Mary (late Silvio) and Frank (Pat); and her parents, Antonio and Giuseppina. She was also cherished by loving extended family — her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the DeMarco Funeral Home (Woodbridge Chapel) (8003 Weston Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L0K6). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Clare of Assisi (150 St Francis Ave, Woodbridge, ON L4H2A2).

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Canadian. The family has chosen to send donations to CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIETE CANADIENNE DU CANCER.
