It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Bakker of Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Bakker to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bakker and Ann Bakker (Lunny); and the mother of his children Lisa Owen. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Hatfield; his children, Steven Bakker and Ashley Bakker; and his siblings, Sharon Wazonek (Dan), Rick Bakker (Robyn), Peggy Alves (Chris) and Dawn White (Gary).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (101 Coburg St, Saint John, NB E2L3J8). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the The Leaside Pub (190 Laird Dr, Toronto, ON M4G3W2).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or Castleview Wychwood Towers, City of Toronto, Long Term Care.
