He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Boeckner and Alma Boeckner; his grandchildren, Georgia Rose Gibson and Charlie Howard Gibson; and his sister-in-law Catherine Boeckner.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Childerson (Orla Collins), Laura Childerson (Carlo van Kleef) and Cathy Gibson; the mothers of children, Carol Childerson and Frankie Boyle Alltoft; his grandchildren, Aoife, Oisin, Ferdia Collins Childerson, Harper, Maggie and Dana Gibson; his brother David (Ann Hoelzer-Boeckner); his nephews, Dan and Nick (Mellany Boeckner); and his girlfriend Dianne Lohnes.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Clement's Anglican Church (70 St Clements Ave, Toronto, ON M4R1H2). A reception will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Granite Club (2350 Bayview Ave, North York, ON M2L1E4).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Clement's Anglican Church.
