It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa Bordonaro (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rosa Bordonaro to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paolo Dipasquale and Antonina Froio; her husband Corrado Bordonaro; and her daughter Maria Scarfo. She is survived by: her sons, Carmelo Bordonaro (Susan) and Paul Bordonaro; her son-in-law Joe Scarfo; her grandchildren, Jeff Gauthier (Wanda), Greg Bordonaro (Andrea), Lisa Scarfo (George), Robert Scarfo (Sara), Adam Bordonaro, Jaidyn Downes and Sahvana Downes; her brothers, Carmelo Dipasquale and Gord Dipasquale; her sister-in-law Maria Dipasquale; and her siblings' children, Antonella, Louisella, Annette, Rosie, Nina, Paul and Gordie. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough (3280 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1T3K3). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Ln, North York, ON M2H3K4).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a children's charity, honoring Rosa's lifelong devotion to the young and the vulnerable.
