He was predeceased by: his father John Cowie; and his sister Dianne. He is survived by: his mother Eileen Cowie; his wife Leslie; his daughters, Tess and Rachel; his father-in-law Ken; his siblings, Sandra and Graeme; and his siblings-in-law, Judy, Jim, Denis, Roger and Stephen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
