He is survived by: his wife Bilge; his children, Baris (Arti) and Pinar (Noyan); his grandchildren, Ela, Sevi, Arya and Mayzie; his brothers, Atilla, Nejat (Gulten) and Iskender; his sisters-in-law, Emine and Sermin; and his nephews, Gozde, Müge, Kursat, Isil, Arda, Ajda, Ceren, Emre, Tolga, Asli, Atakan and Berk.
The family appreciates donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, in lieu of flowers.
