She was predeceased by: her parents, Teodomino Basbas and Maria Basbas; and her sister Glorita Basbas. She is survived by: her husband Jose Castro; and her siblings, Amanda Orpiano and Bonifacio Basbas. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (50 Well St, Stratford, ON N5A4L7). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
