He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Norman George and Pauline May George; his brother Jamie George; and his nephews, Johnathan and Jacob George.

“I learned of Stephen's passing soon after the fact but didn't find anywhere to leave a message till now. I was and am deeply sorry about Stephen. We worked together many years ago at the Muskoka Festival and had a connection. He called me "Charlie". I saw him a few times over the subsequent years and the connection was always there.
