Thomas Claire Cantelon Obituary

Thomas Claire Cantelon at the age of 64, passed away in his care home in Toronto on August 10th, 2025. Prior to his residence in Toronto, Tom spent the bulk of his child and adulthood in Brampton, Ontario. Toms' lifestyle underwent significant change due to his strokes in 2019 and 2020 which ultimately lead to his passing 5 years later.

Tom is survived by his former spouse, Louisa, his 3 Children, Patrick, Joshua (Ashley), Samantha, the memory of his deceased beautiful daughter, Alexandra, his granddaughter, Margot, and his 6 siblings Jack (Laura), Bob (Bonnie), Mary (Paul), Mike (Elaine), Richard, and Colleen (Michael). Tom is also survived by many of his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

Tom was born in Windor, Ontario, in Hotel-Dieu Hospital on April 28th, 1961, to parents Kathleen Cantelon and Harold Cantelon. Tom graduated from JA Turner high school in Brampton. Tom was an exceptional athlete in his youth and his love of basketball and baseball continued throughout his lifetime. Above all else, Tom loved being a dad.

There is no planned formal funeral service at this time. The family would like to thank Chester Village Care Home for their care of Tom over the past 5 years.
