He was predeceased by: his significant other Sara Forsyth; his parents, Howard and Muriel; and his siblings, Lorna Martel (Aldee), Bill, Michael, Gerald, Jackie and Howard.

He is survived by: his children, Derek (Dawn) of Toronto, Susan (John Kosta) of Timmins and Janice (Guy Schultz) of London; his grandchildren, Sam and Luke; his siblings, Vivian McLean (Raymond), Judith Hay (Bill), Glen and Danny; his brother-in-law Aldee Martel (Lorna); and his significant other Darlene Govett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Salvation Army will be greatly appreciated.
