It is with sadness that the passing of Thora Akers (Toronto, Ontario) is shared. Thora, born on November 12, 1945, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her children, Arlene, Josette, Cheryl and George Jr.; her grandchildren, Joseph, Chanae, Racquel, Travis, Jerome, Brandan, George III and Jonai; her great grandchildren, Noah, Nile, Hudson, Leiannah, Idris and Weston; and her siblings, Tim, Cynthia and Phyllis.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeMarco Funeral Home (3725 Keele St, North York, ON M3J1N4). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
