She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Denis O'Connor; her parents, Charles Patrick and Florence Matthews of Kingston; her sister-in-law Patricia Matthews (Denis); George, Marguerite, Patricia, Morgan, Helen, Gerri, Terry (Colleen), Maurice (Marilyn) and Moira Ste Marie (Ron).
She is survived by: her children, Brian (Sheli), Maureen, Cathy (David), Eileen (Remy) and Monica (Stephen); her grandchildren, Kaeli, Denis (Nicole), Keegan (Sara), Brennan (Lauren), Nicole, Stephanie (Henry), Matt (Kaitlin), Connor (Rachel), Cara (Daniel), Estelle, Marina, Clara and Justin; her brothers, Paul and Michael (Jan); her sister-in-law Barbara Matthews; Frederick and Sawyer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Dixion-Garland Funeral Home (166 Main Street N, Markham, ON L3P 1Y3). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mark's Church (345 Glad Park Ave, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A1E4). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:45 PM at the St. Mark's Parish (345 Glad Park Ave, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A1E4). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (355 Taunton Rd E, Whitby, ON L1R3L4).
