She was predeceased by: her spouse Duje Kapov; and her parents, Ivan Jurašin and Nikolina Jurašin. She is survived by: her children, Mary Kapov (Michael), John Kapov and Nick Kapov (Shauna); her grandchildren, Matthew, Liam, Daniela and Dario; and her sister Marija Plavčić. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Veljka's memory may consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
