She was predeceased by: her husband Nicholas Barcza; her brother Peter Rosta; and her parents, Imre Rosta and Lili Rosta. She is survived by: her children, Larry (Helen) and Suzanne; her grandchildren, Emily (Jason), Danny and Trevor; her great grandchildren, Sam, Janelle, Oakley, Brendan and Clover; her nephew Neil (Deborah); and her niece Caroline.

Vera received an award from the Canadian government for her contributions to the Hungarian community in Canada.
