She had lived through a lot of change during her life as an orphan when she was 4, her second son Raitis passing before the age of 2, her life partner Antons passing almost 30 years ago, two world wars and a number of regional wars, the dawn of automobiles, air and space flight, the ever changing digital age and, most recently, the pandemic.
