Virgilio Pires Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025, at the age of 99, Virgilio Pires (Toronto, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Lidia; his children, Elia (Tony), Fernanda (Manuel), Isabel and Danny (Ana Gilda); his grandchildren, Nelson (Alicia), Steven (Jenny), Jennifer (Daniel), Brian (Kathryn), Olivia and Emilia; his great grandchildren, Corson, Maiya, Lucas, Evelyn, Sylvia and Benjamin; and his goddaughter Fernanda Gonçalves Johannes.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St, North York, ON M6B3S9). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Bosco Church (402 Westmount Ave, Toronto, ON M6E3N5). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Prospect Cemetery (1450 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6E1C6).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Virgilio's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. Donations are being accepted for: ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF CANADA - SOCIETE ALZHEIMER DU CANADA.
