“I met Dr. Blissett in the early 1970s. I was a teenager from a working class background drawn by the same numinous transcendence of Anglo-Catholic worship at St. Mary Magdalene's in Toronto. I was flattered that I could I rub shoulders with this erudite professor of English, and also that he should so generously lavish me with his knowledge of music, literature, history, and much else besides.. Long before this became a fad he inspired me to go on pilgrimage to Santiago. Ultreya!”
