William Ernest Butcher Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ernest Butcher (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Isabella; and his brother Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Elinore; his sons, William Bruce (Nozomi) and Duncan; his grandchildren, Maxwell, Liam and Kira; and his sister Janet of Scotland.
