He is survived by : his sisters, May Merkle (Ron), Ann Lenchak (late Walter), Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and Theresa Meikle (Craig); his sister-in-law Elizabeth Divers Fitzpatrick; his nieces and nephews, Bernard Fitzpatrick (Katharine), Lisanne Thomas (Bryce), Moya Murray (Mark), Kara Merkle-Gams (Sigi), Michael Santoro (Linda), Kimmarie Pierce Johnathan Meikle (Chris) and Cameron Meikle; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mia, Anelise, Blake, Chantale, Drew, Emma, Karina, Sabrina, Hallie and Holden; his cousins, McGuinness, McNeil, Schilling, Murphy and Forrester; and his friends, England and Germany.
In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to a charity of choice or to take a moment to perform an act of kindness for a stranger in need.
