He was predeceased by: his sister Katherine Berghuis Gray. He is survived by: his wife Faith; his children, Brian (Heidi), Derek (Jessica Chutter), Kate Stevenson (John) and Willa Baynard (Rob); and his grandchildren, Anna Berghuis, Andrew, Jennifer, Kevin Berghuis, James (Mairéad), Willa Stevenson, Kate and Caroline Baynard.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations in his memory go to St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Brockville, Ontario, or Grace Church on-the-Hill, Toronto.
