With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Winnette Bedassie (Toronto, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Zepporah B. Powell and Altimond Green. She is survived by: her children, Gary Louxely Vaughn Gunnis, Lynvalle George Gunnis, Maxine Petrona Gunnis, Yvonne Marlene Bedassie, Charlene Rose Bedassie and Shane Stephan Bedassie; and her siblings, Glen Green, Calvert Green and Fay Green. She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sickle Cell Association of Ontario in Winnette Bedassie's name.
