We announce the death of Yvannia Rossana Figueroa (Toronto, Ontario), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 63. Yvannia will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Yvannia will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Yvannia will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Yvannia’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son Randy; her sister Fanny; her nieces and nephews, Nattasha, Tyrrone, Tyson, Xavier and Xiomara; her parent Mimi; and her children, Book Bank and Toronto.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cardinal Funeral Homes (366 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M5T 2S6).
In loving memory of Yvannia and in lieu of flowers, we ask family and friends to bring new children's books to the service—on Monday September 28th—to be donated to The Children's Book Bank, which provides free books and literacy programs to children across Toronto.
