She was predeceased by: her daughter Rosemary Sampaio; her nephew Daniel Dos Santos; her parents, Jose Tavares and Maria Tavares; and her sister Nelia Dos Santos.
She is survived by: her husband Dario Sampaio; her siblings, Margaret Miranda (Joseph Miranda), Filomena Tavares, Robert Tavares (Alda Tavares) and Joe Tavares (Stacey Tavares); and her nieces and nephews, Katherine Ledo, Diane Ledo, Brittany Miranda, Joshua Dos Santos, Brandon Tavares and Jaden Ledo.
In lieu of flowers, a donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (https://secure-support.heartandstroke.ca) and Kidney Foundation are greatly appreciated in Zelia's memory.
