He was predeceased by: his son Phillip Austin Tidd; his granddaughter Kathleen Milroy; his parents, Austin Finch Tidd and Edith Tidd; and his brothers, John Tidd (Peggy) and Michael Tidd (Jean).

He is survived by: his children, Pamela Ann Milroy (Peter), Adrian Paul (late Sharon) and Steven James (Karen); his grandchildren, Jason Tidd (Tara), Holly Tidd (Charlie Nourang), James Milroy (Lisa) and Sarah Tidd; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Kaitlyn, Oliver, Grace, Abigail, Ethan, Alex, Marcus and Scarlett.
