He was predeceased by: his parents, Dirk and Maria; his siblings, John, Harry and Lenie; his sisters-in-law, Bettie and Arlene; his mother-in-law Jacobus (Leentje); and his siblings-in-law, Bert, Henry, Darlene and Bev.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude (Trudie); his children, Lenni, Paul Steiginga, Derrick, Erin, Marisa, William Klompmaker, Lori-Ann, Peter Bouwma, Jim and Bethany; his grandchildren, Luke, Justin, Rachael, Dylan, Sharon, Jared, Katrina, Autumn, Caleb, Jenna, Todd, Marni, Kate, Richard, Savvy, Seth, Amaya, Shiloh, Myra, Hamish, Charlotte and Crothers; and his siblings-in-law, Anne, Jack, Jan, George, Dee, Mimi, Leo, Lori, Ria, Neil, Ineke and Dennis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Community Christian Reformed Church (149 King Dr, Quinte West, ON K0K2C0). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to Quinte Region Christian Schools (QRCS) would be, appreciated by the family.
