He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Rutherford Taylor (McEwan); his parents, Henry Taylor and Agnes Fairley Taylor; and his siblings, Mary Hamilton of Scotland, William Taylor of Scotland, James Taylor of Scotland, Harry Taylor of Scotland and Christina Taylor of Scotland.

He is survived by: his children, Harry Taylor (Susan), George Taylor (Kathy) and Janet Taylor-Nelson; his grandchildren, Ian, Cameron, Ryan (Jenn), Jennifer (Brad), Amanda (Jarrod), Noray (Jenn), Alisa (Brent), Loren, Eden (Ron), Maricella, Romeo, Brooke, Aiden, Sophia, Madelyn, Barrett, Lexi, Brodie and Beckham; his niece Fiona Brennan; his great-niece Laura (Mark); his great-nephew Craig; Connor.
