With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Van Vaals of Trenton, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sybe Vaals and Klaaske Van Vaals; his child Gerry Van Vaals (Debbie); his grandchildren, Garett and Scotty; and his siblings, Fred, Klaus and Henrietta.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Van Vaals; his children, Rick Van Vaals (Susan) and Frieda Dawson (late Scott Burnie); his grandchildren, Crissy, Vanessa of Alicia, PJ, Amanda, Jaden, Brendan, Emily, Clara, Tyler, Ryan, Trinity, Rylan, Autumn, Caleb, Jackson, Cali and Benjamin; and his brother Jack Van Vaals (Shirley).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Quinte would be appreciated by the family.
