He was predeceased by: his wife Beatrice Ivy Rutledge; and his brother Doug Rutledge. He is survived by: his children, Sharon (Bill Leitch), Darrell Rutledge (Michelle), Kenneth Rutledge and Darlene Rutledge (Clare); his grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Kerri, Megan, Michelyn, Christy, Joseph, Melissa and Brandon; his great grandchildren, Liam, Thomas, Ryerson, Sydney, Aria, Deacon, Briella, Dawson, Matson, Kassidy and Ryan; and his siblings, Doris Adams, Roy Rutledge (Barbara), Peter Rutledge (Christine) and Phillip Rutledge (Judy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Hospice Quinte, Belleville General Hospital, or a charity of choice.
