He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Palmateer and Evelyn Palmateer; his brother John Palmateer; his niece Erin Palmateer; and his great-nephew Christopher Palmateer.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Palmateer (Rashotte); his daughter Kayla Palmateer (Luke Haegele); his grandchildren, Adalyn and Rhett Haegele; his siblings, Larry Palmateer (Patricia), Peggy Chisholm (Harvey) and Mary Lou Palmateer (Angela Bunnett); and his sister-in-law Fay Palmateer. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
