She was predeceased by: her son Danny Taylor; her sisters, Gloria Angel, Yvonne Brock, Ruby Fulcher and Marg Wilson; and her parents, David Dales and Rita Dales (Edmunds).
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Taylor; her children, Sherri Taylor, Jim Oswald, Catherine Taylor, Graham Sims, Shirley Taylor, Chris, Laura, Stephanie and Kurt; her grandchildren, Brayden, Alexis, Lane, Mallory and Emily; and her siblings, Linda Cox, Marion Mathers, Jim Dales and Sharon McKean.
Donations to the Ronald McDonald House, Sunshine Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation or Huron Residential Hospice in Shirley's memory would be appreciated by the family.
