Alice Stoyanovich Obituary

We announce the death of Alice Stoyanovich (Vaughan, Ontario), who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 96. Alice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband George Stoyanovich; her parents, George Gundersen and Margit Gundersen; and her siblings, Ella Vollebekk (Roy), Walter Gundersen, Evelyn Hough and Astrid McCarthy (John).

She is survived by: her children, Louise Salisbury (Bob), Douglas Stoyanovich (Maureen Simonelli) and Carol Stoyanovich (Stephen Baksi); and her grandchildren, Michael Salisbury, Steve Salisbury, Kelly Salisbury (Josh Baker), Nicole Thorpe (Christopher), Lisa Cornelius and Holly Stoyanovich. She is also survived by great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes (8088 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L4J1W3). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Glendale Funeral Home & Cemetery (1810 Albion Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9W5S7).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Alice's memory to either the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
