She is survived by: her husband Francesco; her children, Leonardo (Silvana), Giovanni (Tina), Romano, Rosa (Michael) and Claudio (Mariagrazia); her grandchildren, Alexander (Erika), Christian (Cassandra), Francesco, Ava Maria, Alyssa Marie, Angelica Marie and Victoria Ava; and her siblings, Giulio (Giulia), Settimio (Ida), Rosanna (late Eduardo), Emilia (late Ugo), Gaetano (late Emilia) and Teresa (late Bruno).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Vescio Funeral Home "woodbridge Chapel" (8101 Weston Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L1A6). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (3800 Courtice Rd, Courtice, ON L1E2L5).
If so desired, donations in memory of Assunta may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
