With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Domenico Matera (Vaughan, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Domenico had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Domenico may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Maria; his daughter Maria (Alex Moraga); his stepdaughter Michelle (Valentino Di Domenico); his grandchildren, Elena, Cristian and Gabriel; and his pet Lupo.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Vescio Funeral Home "woodbridge Chapel" (8101 Weston Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L1A6). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Padre Pio Parish (5500 Major MacKenzie Dr., Kleinburg, ON L0J1C0).

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory Domenico may be made to Hospice Vaughan.
