He was predeceased by: his sibling Mark Besner; his wife Patricia; and his parents, Faye Abramovitch and Lou Abramovitch. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Ellen Fisher (David) and Mitchell (Daleet); his stepchildren, Mitchell Leitman (Sherri) and Melissa Steadman (Jack); his grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jacob, Zachary, Ava, Alexa, Sarah and Jake; and his siblings, Nyssa, Norm and Fraidie Smiley.
