Filomena touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Filomena’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Mary, Ralph (Maria) and Alfredo (Richard); her granddaughter Isabella; her siblings, Guerino and Raffaele; her parents, Maria Domenica and Alfredo; and her brother Alfonso.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vescio Funeral Home (211 McNaughton Rd E, Maple, ON L6A4E2). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Vescio Funeral Home "maple Chapel" (211 McNaughton Rd E, Maple, ON L6A4E2).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, and the Canadian Cancer Society – Breast Cancer Research in memory of the late Filomena (Conte) Genua.
