He was predeceased by: his father Kelly Christie. He is survived by: his mother Laurie Fortnum; his siblings, Dylan Christie and Sarah MacLeod; his brother-in-law Tyler MacLeod; his nephew Fionn MacLeod; and his grandparents, Jerry, Sonia Fortnum, Douglas and Marie Christie. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (445 St Vincent St, Barrie, ON L4M6T5). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in Jesse's name to the Canadian Mental Health Association York Region South Simcoe branch.
